Our History
In 1899 three gentlemen meeting in a public house/hotel agreed that there would be a demand for a “Gentleman’s Club” in Penzance. Mr. J.Gartrell (probably the main instigator) and his friends Mr. Robinson and Mr. Rodda looked around and found a premises in what is now Queens Square.
Mounts Bay Club eventually had the opportunity to move to its current premises in Morrab Road and there it has remained ever since.
